It's best to put I'm available any day for these jobs since most are open 7 days a week. I will still get days off; it just might not be on Saturday and Sunday.

I should tell my boss that I can cover the shift. I don't have to cover the shift every time I'm called, but I should occasionally cover the shift because other people cover for me sometimes.

No. PTO (paid time off) builds up as I work at a location. I usually start out a job with very few hours that I can take off.
