What is the OH&S responsibility of workers/employees?
-To take reasonable care for their own health and safety. -To take reasonable care for the health and safety of others who may affected by their acts or omissions. -To cooperate with anything the employer does to comply with OHS requirements.
What is sick leave?
Any days that are missed due to illness/wellbeing where the worker still gets paid.
What is the 'slippery when wet' sign used for?
A sign which needs to be put near a floor that may be wet so people can be cautious.
What is fatigue?
Being tired or stressed due to work.
What is a mental health condition?
Refers to disorders that affect your mood, thinking and behavior.
What is manual handling?
Any transporting or supporting of a load (including the lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof) by hand or bodily force.
What is the extreme weather law?
Workers are to be sent home if the temperature is over 35 degrees (in some industries).
Describe the high voltage sign?
A yellow triangle with a bolt in the middle.
What is a fire hazard?
Any build up of materials that could be set alight and cause harm.
What is unfair dismissal?
When a worker is fired for an unfair reason.
What does the risk management process involve?
Identify the hazards.
Assessing associated risks, where necessary.
Controlling the risks.
Reviewing and revising risk control measures.
What are pre-requisite qualifications?
Training and education which needs to be done in order to get a job.

What is anxiety?
A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome.
What is a union?
An association that has joined together with a common cause (to improve working conditions for a particular industry).
