What is an exepectation to remember for recruitment? 

  • Very similar to work week, bring the same energy and engagement.

  • Do not discuss PNMs outside of recruitment conversations. If you have concerns about a PNM, use the standards referral process. Talking about a PNM outside of this will result in a standards referral. 

  • No gum, mints, or candy while talking with PNMs.

  • Be on time and ready for every round.

  • Wear your name tag at all times.

  • Stay positive and professional.

What does it mean to put a PNM down as a standards risk?

  • When submitting a score, you can choose to mark a PNM as “may be in conflict with fraternity position statements.” 

  • There are extreme and rare cases. 

  • No one but members of the recruitment team will see this. 

  • VP standards will review these and go more in depth in a sec. 

  • A PNM does not fit the position statements.

What is a snap bid?

  • Immediately after primary recruitment but before bids are open.

  • Only eligible chapters that do not meet quota can offer membership to people through snap bids.

  • Agreement signed by PNMs after preference round. 

  • Accepting membership if they receive a bid from any chapter listed on her MRABA. 

  • Declining a bid means she is not eligible to COB, she would have to wait until the next primary recruitment period.
