I am a monotreme animal, with spikes. I love nothing better than ripping open termite mounds and having a meal.

I am a large flightless bird, found out here on the green plains. My eggs are quite big. When my eggs are laid, the male takes over incubating them, and looks after the chicks.

I am a large Australian lizard. I have strong, sharp claws and like nothing better than climbing trees and robbing nests of eggs or hatchlings.

I live in creeks or streams in Eastern Australia. I am a funny looking animal. When the first explorers and settlers saw me, they thought I was a made up animal. I have fur, webbed feet and if I am a male, I will have a poisonous spur.

I am the largest flightless bird in Australia. You won't see me here on the western plains. I live in the tropics in North Queensland. I am quite dangerous as my legs are strong and I have sharp toes on my feet.

I am a very dangerous reptile lives in Australia's north. In the 1970's it became illegal to hunt me. I now am in great numbers throughout the tropics. I am also farmed for my skin to make leather. I have a two word name.

I am an amphibian. I am usually a nice natural colour, like you see on leaves. I lay eggs in water and my young hatch in water. When they grow and change they come onto land. You can hear them after rain.

I am a deadly marine creature. People sometimes get taken by me or I attack and take a limb. Many have died whilst swimming.

I am something that every placental mammal has. It is usually found somewhere on my tummy. It is round shaped.
