Germany kept expanding and took control of Austria in 1938 and then planned to take Poland in 1939. The Allies warned Germany that they would declare war if Germany didn’t stop and so World War Two Began.

How did life for Women and African Americans change during the second world war?
African Americans continued migrating north and looking for more opportunities which were opening up because so many of the men were off to war
Similarly, Women were learning new trades and working a lot more and were encouraged to because of the space left in the workforce with so many men going to war.
