the point of Jeremiah 29:11
What is God sent His people into exile in Babylon. He tells them to remain faithful, that He does have a plan for them. He tells us the same thing in that His plans for us are good for our future. Our scope is narrow and we cannot see that bigger picture like God can, and planned for us. His promise to us is not that harm or misery or heartache will not find its way into our lives. His promise is that when those things do slip into our lives that He will give us ways out, ways to prevail or ways to cope. That should gives us so much hope and security in knowing that the one who loves us the most hold us in the palm of his hand. We then should never doubt our place in this world. It also shows us that we are worthy….God deems us Worthy?

the point of Matthew 10:31
Jesus is reassuring the disciples of Gods love and concern for them. He told them that when they go out and proclaim His Fathers message they need not worry about those that could kill the body but not the soul, their soul was safe with God, He is their ultimate protector and provider. He warned them of the One that would take the unbeliever to Hell and destroy the body and soul. Jesus assured His disciples that they were more valuable to His Father than many sparrows (that they do not fall from the sky without his knowing), down to the very number of hairs on their heads. That they were of Great Worth to His Father. No matter what we go through we cannot shake God’s confidence in us, and He will not depart His spirit from within us. What a promise and gift that He sent His very Son to die so that we may live…

Background story about how God planned my life
I’m not really sure of what this means to my life yet because its hard for me to see the big picture but I do think I understand what the writer is saying. I know that in February of 2000 my parents had a pending adoption fall through, they were devastated. It wasn’t God’s plan that they have that baby boy because at that time God had created me. My birthmother would have been aware of my existence about that time…Gods plan was being put into motion, he was preparing my Mom and Dad for my arrival, preparing their family and friends. He was preparing my birthmother as well by loving me through her, protecting me so that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. He put a plan of adoption on her heart and she loved Him and accepted and yielded to His plan before I was even born by choosing my family from the many profiles the agency provided her with. Its beginning to show me that God makes me worthy, worthy of His love, worthy of the love of my family and friends. He shows me that He does have a plan for me...I don’t know what it is but He does, all I have to do is learn how to align my will with His. Others are worthy of my love, the world, my community, my school, my friends, teachers, my home, and family are worth loving. That means I should intentionally show them how much I care for them, how much I appreciate those around me who have given to or provided for me, entertained me, taught me and loved me. They are worthy of that. God though is most worthy…He is worthy of my praise, worthy of my worship, worthy of my time and my money. He is worth living for and dying for…that is what He did for me. Who am I that I wouldn’t do that for Him?

the point of Proverbs 21:10
What is God includes this verse in His word to show us what is “deemed worthy”…in the world. He can relate worthiness to us through our relationships and the way we see the relationships of others. In the story of the wife of noble character He shows us what a truly loved, reveraed, respected, loved and respectable woman is to her husband, children, friends and community. The way they feel about her, the way they see what she does when she expects no one else is looking at her, the way she conducts herself in public and private, the way she loves and communicates with God. The world (us) sees a woman like that as worthy of our respect and adoration. I think this is how God wants us to view worthiness…not that we should hold this kind of person in high esteem, but we should hold all of mankind in high esteem. People should not have to earn our stamp of “worthiness approved”. We should be able and willing to see them as worthy through the lenses of our Creator in that if He created them then he deems them as worthy, He loved them and had a purpose for them just as He does for us. This is how God wants us to love others?

the point of John 3:16
What is God values us so much that He sent his Only Son, Jesus, to die for us so we could live with Him.That sacrifice came at the ultimate price, I was bought, purchased and redeemed worthy by only one thing…the blood of Jesus. See, when God sees us he doesn’t see our nasty, hateful, despiteful, shameful and wicked thoughts and actions, He see what covers all of that, the blood of His son, the only true and perfect sacrifice. He bore all of humanity's sin, for all time while His Father turned His back on him. He did this for me and He did this for you and that makes Jesus WORTHY of all of our praise and worship.

the definition of worldly worth
What is The world view tells us that worth is what you have…things. Some of what the world defines at worth is something that holds or possesses value…monetary value. Some things that are of great worth to us are our houses, cars, Money in the bank, jewelry, clothes, shoes. The things we have, things we possess give us a sense of worth, a sense of security.

the point of Proverbs 11:4
What is What this verse tells us is what the world views as worthy is not what God sees as worthy. The worldview is narrow compared to Gods view. God sees that His son is in us, therefore he sees us as worthy, worthy of what He created in us, worthy of making a good work in us. When we catch on to what His purpose is for us we turn around and give God all the praise and that honors God. Others see us do that and in turn may be able to see that they can have the power of God’s love and forgiveness, His promise of an eternity spent with Him in Heaven. That is the power God has in us…that he pours Himself into creating us so perfectly unique?

the point of 1 Peter 1:6-7
In this passage Peter is telling the church that even though they are being persecuted for their faith, they must remain faithful and steadfast. In doing so they strengthen their faith to the point that their faith is stronger and more pure than even the purest most refined gold. In this, suffering for or faith makes it valuable, an offering of much worth to God.

What Smith believes he's worthy of
To me, worth is something that is well earned or spent doing. We all think of expensive things when we think of worth. Worth is being worthy of doing the task at hand. People say “That was worth doing,” or “It was worth the wait,” when really they mean that although the task was terrible, the prize in the end was worthy of the time spent to earn it. Am I worthy??? The answer is worthy of what? Heaven? No. Hell? Yes. Eternal Life? Probably not because I sin like every other human on this earth. Personally I don’t think anyone is worthy of eternal life in heaven… but God gives us this opportunity to glorify Him by placing us on this earth. How often do we see that happening? Hardly ever. So I think that if God thinks we’re worthy enough to be here, let’s make ourselves feel placed here by God instead of just this life and none other after.
