Every sentence ends with this.
What is punctuation? (or... What is a period?)
“me and my friend is going to the park.”
My friend and I are going to the park.
The thing in the sentence that is happening.
What is a verb (or action)?
“Write a yes/no question about recess or lunch.”
Answers vary.
Example: Are we going out to recess today since it is raining?
“She runs fast. She jumps high.”
Use "and"
She runs fast, and she jumps high.
What is a subject?
Person, place, thing, or idea.
“where is my book”
