🧏What is fluorescence πŸ’

Fluorescence is the emission of visible light by a substance that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiation (UV radiation)

What is the name of this structure and what is the flaming bright orange stuff being expelled from this structure? : πŸŒ‹

a volcano

Larva

100

πŸ€βœ¨What is the sun considered to earth. Specifically plants. ( Hint has to do with what it emits/gives)πŸ€βœ¨

A primary source of energy.

100

🌎 What is an earthquake 🌍

An earthquake is the shaking of the Earth's surface caused by the sudden movement of rocks ( tectonic plates deep underground.

200

UV stands for?🌞

Ultraviolet radiation

200

What does it mean when they safe a volcano is dormant.

A dormant volcano is a volcano that has not erupted for a long time but could erupt again in the future. It is "sleeping"

200

🌻🌼A cow is a primary consumer and a plant is a....... 🌱✨

Primary producer

200

🍎 True or false 🐍

persons should stop drop and roll when an earthquake is occuring.

False, persons should drop, cover and hold.

If no cover is available, protect your head and crouch near an interior wall away from windows and heavy objects.

What is it that gets excited in materials that causes the exhibition of fluorescence ? πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

Electrons

πŸͺ¨ What is formed when molten larva cools and hardens? πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Hint: obsidian

When lava dries and cools, it hardens into igneous rock. The type of rock formed depends on how fast the lava cools:

Basalt – Forms when lava cools quickly on the surface; common in oceanic crust.

Obsidian – A smooth, glassy rock that forms when lava cools very rapidly.

300

What is an omnivore😏

An organism that consumes both plants and animals.

300

πŸ€” What is the Richter scale βš–οΈ?

The Richter scale is a system that measures the strength (magnitude) of an earthquake.

400

πŸ›‘οΈName a fluorescent type of rock/ substance πŸ—‘οΈ

Yooperlite

Sodalite

Fluorite

How can volcanoes negatively affect the  the environment?? πŸ˜ƒ

Volcanoes can harm the environment in several ways. They release toxic gases like sulfur dioxide, which can cause acid rain and air pollution.

Ash clouds can block sunlight, affecting weather and plant growth. Lava flows destroy homes, forests.

Volcanic eruptions can also trigger tsunamis and contaminate water sources with ash and chemicals.

400

Why are producers important in an ecosystem?πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

Producers are important because they make their own food using sunlight (photosynthesis) and provide energy for all other organisms in the food chain. Without them, consumers of plants wouldn’t have food and hence they'll die leading to the consumers of the consumers dying ultimately disrupting the ecosystem.

400

What is a transform plate tectonic boundary?

Hint ( has to deal with direction and causing  earthquakes)

These are plates slide past each other, causing earthquakes.

500

Explain the steps of how an object emits visible light πŸ§‘β€πŸŒΎπŸ§‘β€πŸŒΎ

UV light hits object

Electrons get excited and jump to a higher energy level.

Electrons can't hold energy because they're energetically unstable as they jump up an energy level.

They release energy in the form of visible light, returning to the energy level they came from

500

What is the relationship between plate tectonics and volcanoes? 🧐

Volcanoes form because of plate tectonics

When plates collide one sinks and melts, creating magma

When plates separate, magma rises to fill the gap (mid-ocean ridges) And can push to the surface of the land in the form of larva.

πŸ₯ΈWhy is only about 10% of energy transferred from the gazelle trophic level to the lion's trophic level.😬

Because the gazelle uses most of its energy for movement, body functions( respiration ), and even looses some energy as heat. The lion only gets the small amount left when it eats the gazelle.

🌊 🌊 🌊 🌊 🌊 How can earthquakes trigger tsunamis?

An earthquake can trigger a tsunami if it happens under the ocean and causes the seafloor to suddenly rise or fall.

This displaces water, creating powerful waves that spread across the ocean and can flood coastal areas.
