Steve has two sisters. There is a quote about friendship on the WTT website that discusses trusting intuition.
"Intuition is a natural feeling or a “gut feeling” that helps you make decisions without needing to think too much. It’s like an inner voice that tells you what feels right or wrong. Intuition is based on your experiences, feelings, and subconscious mind. It helps you sense things that you might not be able to explain logically."
Rebecca doesn't always see it immediately when she meets a new person who could potentially be a friend, as Rebecca tends to be trusting of others' intentions by nature, but looking back, Rebecca says David has always been able to trust his intuition&psychological instincts when it comes to Rebecca first meeting potential friends. People Rebecca originally thought were harmless/had good intentions, often turned out to be people who ended up really hurting her years down the line. Rebecca has learned to trust David's intincts about people, while still maintaining her sweet disposition and trusting nature, but is somewhat more cautious now. She knows not everyone she meets will have good intentions, but gives people the benefit of the doubt, and keeps an open mind.
This reminds Rebecca of two very specific quotes from two different movies she loves (one is one of her #1 movies of all time, and the other she enjoys watching with her friends)
