A blockade is a group of ships that keep another ship from entering or leaving an area. It was used by the British to keep the Germans from getting supplies.

This was a letter sent by Germany to Mexico. It asked them to attack America from the South.

Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Russia was allies with Serbia. Germany was allies with Austria. France was friends with Russia. Germany invaded Belgium, so they declared war as well.

A country wanting to take care of its own business and not worry about other countries.

Explain how the Germany felt about the terms of the treaty?
They were upset about losing their military and so much money. They did not want to take responsibility for the entire war.
America wanted to remain neutral because it was "Europe's War". They did not want to get involved. Their neutrality changed after the sinking of the Lusitania and the Zimmerman telegram.
