Examples could be; young people, females, males, specific age group, married couples, etc
What is a 'fact'?
Provide an example.
Facts are statements that can be checked or proved. Facts might include specific information about a person, place or thing. Facts often contain numbers, dates or ages.
What is a 'pun'?
Provide an example.
Puns are jokes that use a play on words.
For example, a bicycle can't stand on its own because it is two-tired.

What is 'tone'?
Give an example.
Tone is the attitude or approach that the author takes toward the text's central theme or subject.
Some examples of tone are; funny, angry, ironic, playful, sad, somber, threatening etc.
What is an opinion?
Provide an example.
An opinion tells what someone thinks, feels or believes. Some opinions are written to sound like facts, but if you cannot verify what you read, it is probably an opinion.
Figurative language is when you use a word or phrase that does not have its normal everyday, literal meaning.
For example, her head was spinning from all the new information.

An author's purpose is the reason they create a text or advert. Some examples may be to amuse the reader, to persuade the reader, to inform the reader, or to sell a product.
What is the difference between Implicit and Explicit?
Implicit means not directly stated or hinted at.
Explicit means stated directly or explained clearly and fully.

Ambiguity can be interpreted in more than one way.
“Look at the dog with one eye.”
