What are mods (modules)?

Selling space in the yearbook to local businesses or families.
What are ad sales?
The largest and most important photo on a spread.
What is a dominant Photo?
A photo where the background has been removed.
What is a cutout background (COB)?
The unifying idea, concept, or phrase that runs throughout the book.
What is the theme?
The heavier paper glued to the front and back covers of the book.
What are endsheets?
An additional insert that covers late events such as spring sports or graduation.
What is a supplement?
The fold or center of a spread where the two pages meet
What is a gutter?
The principle that divides a photo into nine equal sections for stronger composition.
What is the rule of thirds?
A short story about a specific student, teacher, or group.
What is a profile?
A statement at the end of the yearbook listing publication details like fonts, staff, and printer.
What is the colophon?
The group of students who work together to produce the yearbook.
What is the yearbook staff?

Recognition given to the person who took the photo.

The term for how well the yearbook includes the entire school community.
