What does it mean to take a trauma-informed approach?

Trauma-informed is a framework used to address all the people BARCC serves. When engaging in a trauma-informed manner, we act as though every person we work with has a trauma (as most do). Trauma-informed care understands the pervasive nature of trauma, its symptoms, and promotes healing. Survivor-centered and with an equity lens.

How do power dynamics factor into whether something is consensual or not?
