What is the procedure for calling out?

Notify your Site Coordinator or Youth Director 2 weeks before designated day off.

For the day of its before 9am or 7pm the day before.

2 a day. 1 indoor and 1 outdoor

Every 15 minutes, however, these must be done at a minimum of every 30 minutes during transition period.

What are the first aid supplies you need with you at all times? 

Band-aids, Ice Packs, Paper Towels, Latex Gloves, Plastic bag for proper disposal of soiled gloves and paper towels.

True or False: Staff should report to site coordinator and Youth Director when equipment is damaged or when you have low inventory? 

True: Children should not be playing with damaged equipment and staff should inform when running low on supplies for A+.

True or False: Youth Leaders are only responsible for supervision of his/her group? 

False: Yes you are responsible for supervising your group but we are all responsible for the safety and well-being of EVERY CHILD IN THE PROGRAM!

True or False: Is the Weekly Dismissal log a legal Document? 

True: They can use the dismissal logs for court. No Staff should be drawing or doodling on the weekly dismissal logs.

Staff should have all their supplies and activities ready before the dismissal bell.

What's the proper procedure if you need to take a child to the restroom? 

1. Never take one child to the restroom. Minimal of 3 if a single staff is taking them to the restroom. 

2. It is better to do a group restroom to minimize frequent trips to the restroom. 

3. No Youth Aides or volunteers should be taking kids to the restroom. 

4. Rule of thumb if there are 3 stalls in the restroom, then you can send 3 kids at a time.

Are staff allowed to send children back to class after they check in to A+? 

No! Children are not allowed to go back to class once they check into A+ unless they have "Teacher Request to Keep Students" from the teacher.

YMCA Uniform shirt, pants, (Jeans with no frays or rips, athletic bottoms, shorts no shorter than fingertips), shoes (crocs are not shoes) and Name Tag

When are lesson plans due to Site Coordinators? 

The third Thursday of the month.

When is the best time to report an accident/incident? 

As soon as it happens. Always report any accidents or incidents to Site Coordinator no matter how big or small the incident is.

What are the End of of Day Procedures? 

1. Accident and Incident reports need to be turned in at the end of the day

2. Proceed with Clean Up Assignments: (Wiping Tables, putting the equipment away in designated areas) 

3. Write in Documentation Books 

4. Clock out using HR Symphony at the end of Shift

5. Leave the program site promptly after clocking out. Always inform SC before leaving the premises
