The Mackinac Bridge was formed by the beaver to be able to cross, and the island was created as a byproduct (beaver dam cutting off the lower and upper peninsula). The moose changed the landscape, allowing humans to be able to survive in the upper peninsula. The moose also gifted the first Yoopers the knowledge to swim and dive.
