What country is KFC the traditional Christmas dinner in..

A) Kenya

B) India

C) Japan

Japan!

While Christmas isn’t a national holiday in Japan, that doesn’t stop KFC getting in on the festive action. Foreigners in Japan – unable to find any turkey for Christmas day – regularly flock to KFC for a pre-Christmas fried chicken meal. The 1974 marketing campaign reading ‘Kurisumasu ni wa kentakkii!’ (Kentucky for Christmas!) can’t have helped either.

TRUE OR FALSE:

McDonald’s is one of the world’s largest toy distributor

You might think that shops like Toys “R” Us or Argos hand out more toys on average per year than any fast food shop. Not quite. With toys being given away with every McDonald’s Happy Meals, that’s a lot of treats that are being given away every single day. In fact, one report estimates that McDonald’s distributes over 1.5 billion toys each year!

The first Tim Hortons restaurant opened in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. In 1964, a cup of coffee and a donut cost only 10 cents each. Tim Horton had four daughters, represented by the four donuts in our original logo.

A) Jamaica

B) The Phillipines

The Phillipines!

Originally introduced in the Philippines in 2015, the Double Down Dog was basically just a hot dog with fried chicken as the bun. In fact, this was an iteration of their Double Down sandwich: a bacon and cheese sandwich that had two pieces of fried chicken acting as the bread.

Who founded the McDonalds Franchise:

A) Ray Kroc

B) Mac and Richard McDonald

Ray Kroc!

Brothers Maurice and Richard McDonald started the first McDonald's restaurant in 1948 by converting their drive-through barbecue restaurant into a burger and milkshake joint. Located in San Bernardino, California, east of Los Angeles, the restaurant was actually the brothers' second venture into the food industry.

BUT Ray Kroc bought the rights to the name and the service from the McDonald brothers and founded the franchise without their consent. Ray Kroc was a salesman for a milkshake mixer supplier when he came across the McDonald brothers' hamburger carry-out in San Bernardino, California.

Taco Bell – Cap’n Crunch Delights were introduced in:

A) The United States

B) Mexico

Cap'n Crunch Delights were added as a Taco Bell breakfast item in the United States in 2015. They were basically little pastries that were coated in fruity Crunch Berries cereal. The best part? The center was filled with a "sweet milk icing." I'm drooling.

TRUE OR FALSE:

McDonalds in Poland serves a McMuffin with Cottage Cheese and Radish

True!

A breakfast item sure to divide the crowd, this curious McMuffin is found on McDonald's menus throughout Poland. Instead of the usual suspects (sausage, egg, bacon and American cheese), this breakfast bun is filled with sliced radishes, cottage cheese and rocket leaves. Although quite a classic combination across Eastern Europe, it's still not what many would expect from a McMuffin.

McDonalds Came up with the Fillet O Fish sandwhich to please:

A) Women on a diet

B) Pescatarians

B) Catholics who couldn't eat meat

B)

It was the brainchild of Cincinnati-based McDonald's franchise owner Lou Groen. Groen came up with the idea when he discovered that the Catholic practice of abstaining from meat on Fridays was hurting his business. At first, McDonald's CEO Ray Kroc hated the idea of "stinking up" the restaurant with fish.

In the early 2010s, Burger King Japan based this burger on an anime character. It consisted of two black buns, their regular beef patty, a hash brown, and a special sauce. Oh, and it also had a giant piece of bacon sticking out of it to look like a tongue. So casual.

 Colonel Harland David Sanders

It all began in a Kentucky gas station way back in 1930 when Harland Sanders first started cooking for hungry travelers. Six years later, he became a Colonel and, by 1940, he had perfected his now famous 11-herbs-and-spices recipe. He spent the rest of his long and storied life taking his chicken to the world, bringing it to Canada back in 1953 and even living here from 1965 until 1980.
