When can you come to the Young Scholars room?
During your lunch, after school, or during your scheduled time. You can stop by in between periods, but you need to make sure you are not late to your next class!
What community service events can you do out in the community?
Walks for different causes, help your neighbors with cleaning their yards, volunteer, etc.
What happens if you have 2 or more classes under the grade of a 70?
You can be placed on academic probation
You can get a paid internship or get paid to do the STEAM program.

Food drives, cards for veterans or nursing homes, research, etc.

You can be suspended from the program
What are some big field trips you get to go on when you get to High School?
Washington DC & Camping
What should you do if you hear of any rumors of students planning to do things they shouldn't? (fights, pull the fire alarm, etc.)

What happens if you don't finish your community service for each school year?
You will need to make them up during summer program or you will not get part of your scholarship money when you graduate High School
If you are suspended from the YS program, what do you need to do to come back into the program?
Set up a meeting with your Young Scholars Teacher and Young Scholars social worker & write a letter on how you will improve or why you should continue being a Young Scholar
What are your main goals as a Young Scholar?
Earn a NYS Regents Diploma with advanced Designation and graduate ready to go into college or the workforce
