They kept getting killed or having to run so Ammon prayed to Heavenly Father and he told them to join the Nephites. The Nephites gave them the land of Jershon, and they became known as the people of Ammon. None of them ever killed again. The Nephites protected them and the people of Ammon helped the Nephites by giving them resources.
