No, that is the job of teachers and school administrators.

In the front office beside the nurse's office.

Yes! Unless it is one of the 5 reasons we talked about earlier.
What are some ways your counselor can help you when you're feeling anxious?
Talking it through, breathing exercises, fidgets, and practicing coping skills.
Will my counselor tell my teacher if I have any complaints about a class or conflict with a teacher?
Your counselor will not tell your teacher without your permission.
What is confidentiality?
Keeping conversations between people private. Not telling others what was said unless absolutely necessary.

Do you have to be going through a major crisis to see your counselor?
No. Counselors support ALL students, no matter the situation.
If I don't have a problem but want to share something positive can I still see the school counselor?
Absolutely! I love hearing good news and celebrating wins!
How does your counselor advocate for you?
Standing up for students; being the "voice" for students in meetings; being a go-between for students and teachers.
What are the five exceptions to confidentiality?
*Someone is hurting you. *You want to hurt someone. *You want to hurt yourself. *You know someone is going to hurt someone else. *You give me permission to share.
