This sacrament is to strengthen you to defend the faith and you become a full member of the Catholic Church. You are anointed with Holy Chrism and usually have a Bishop lay hands upon you so that you receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit!
What is confirmation?
This holiday is what Lent is leading us to and a celebration of what is the center of our beliefs as Catholics. That Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven on this day.

The teaching part on the Gospel, which Father delivers right after the completion of the Gospel.

This is the final week of Lent that begins with Palm Sunday, and finishes out with Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday.
