What is a Reprimand?

What is a criminal record?
Report to a probation officer for up to 2 years

Crown Prosecutors give a warning after the case has been referred to them by police
What is a Crown Caution?
I have the responsibility of proving guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
What is a Crown Prosecutor?
Something other than a licence and registration that must be provided to police if stopped while driving.

If you got to court and are found guilty, you will have this.

When you return property to a victim.
What is Restitution?
The police recommend you to community programs or 6 agencies, like a recreation program or counselling, to help you stay out of trouble.
What is a Referral?
When lawyers ask questions of the oppositions witnesses.
What is cross-examination?
A person you can speak to at any point in the proceedings.
What is a Lawyer?
If you are over 18 when sentenced, and are sentenced to less than 2 years, you may go here.
What is a provincial jail?
No Conditions or requirements are put on the offender.
What is a discharge?
The most formal of the extrajudicial measures.
What is Extrajudicial Sanctions?
A report about your situation prepared by a probation officer
What is a pre-sentencing report?
Something you can sign to give up your right to a lawyer or to having a guardian present during a statement.
What is a waiver?
If you are over 18 when sentenced, and are sentenced to more than 2 years, you may go here.
What is a Federal Penitentiary?
The judge orders that you can serve your custody portion of your sentence in the community, under conditions ordered by the judge
Deferred Custody
A group that talks about how the incident has affected each individual and what would repair the harm that has been done.
What is Community Justice Committees?
A committee who will decide guilt on each charge unanimously.
What is a Jury?
The police must provide you with this.
