Yet I became a major missionary and defender of the gospel.
I once persecuted the followers of Jesus,
Encountered Him on the road to Damascus,
And later argued that his apostleship came through Christ rather than human appointment.

Paul (Saul of Tarsus)
I was placed on a man's head.
I was made from something that grows.
And I became part of the suffering Jesus endured before His crucifixion.
WHAT AM I?
The crown of thorns
I am not a living thing, yet I can die. I have no lungs, yet I need air.
A fire
I explain that faith without works is dead.
I also warn about the power of the tongue.
and tell believers to consider trials as an opportunity for perseverance.

I was a mountain where Abraham was commanded to offer his son.
And centuries later, Solomon's Temple was built in the same general location.

I was a man who accompanied Paul.
My mother was Jewish, but my father was Greek.

Yet I was not compelled to do so as a requirement for salvation.

The coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost
I have no beginning, no end, and no middle.
A circle
I warn believers about false teachers and mention angels who sinned before the flood.
I also compare the return of Christ to the coming of a thief.

I was a place where Paul stayed for a year and six months.

And the governor Gallio refused to judge Paul's case.
