What is ministering?
Ministering is caring for someone as the Savior would.
Who is the YW’s program for AND whose work are we doing?
The Young women’s program is for the Young Women. We are doing Heavenly Father’s work.
Who plans the activities?
The class presidency plans the activities with the help of their class. They gather ideas from the class and build around those ideas.
Who plans the ministering visits?
The class presidency.
Who is your mentor?
YW leaders and parents. Mentors do not do your work for you, they guide you and help you as needed.
Why is it important to have consistent planning meetings? why is it important to let all the girls feel included?
When we are included, we have a sense of unity.
How did Jesus minister?
He served all those around Him. He taught people the gospel.
What can the YW do to care for those in need?
Listen, ask questions, etc.
How can you minister in your calling?
Serve others and teach the gospel in your classes.
Why is it important to have an agenda for the meeting?
Agendas help us think about the items that need to be discussed in your presidency meetings. It helps us stay focused on what needs to be talked about.
Why is it important to let all the girls feel included?
When you include everybody, we feel unified and in one purpose.
What are the areas of the gospel that activities should be focused around?
Uniting families, learning and living the gospel, sharing the gospel, helping the poor and the needy
How does counseling together help us make better decisions?
Class presidencies become unified when they counsel together, they are led by the spirit in making decisions, and they are more effective in doing the Lord’s work.

Make good choices, be kind, include others, and be an example in how we live our lives everyday.

We need to begin and close our meetings with prayer and invite the spirit to be with us as we discuss the work of salvation.

You focus on the work of salvation. Learning and living the gospel, sharing the gospel, uniting families, serving those in need.

When we council together, it allows us to receive revelation as we plan and carry out the Lord’s work.
What is the role of the class president in class presidency meetings?
Class presidents lead, and conduct class presidency meetings. Your adult leaders can help you prepare ahead of time so you can lead the meeting with confidence.
Name four assignments that the class secretary is responsible for?
Prepares the agenda for class, presidency meetings, takes notes during the class meetings, keeps tracks of assignments, and keeps track of attendance in Sunday meetings.
How often should you hold class presidency meetings?
Class presidency meetings should be held regularly, even weekly, either virtually or in person. These meetings do not need to be long. Where possible, meet for 15-20 minutes each week and hold a longer meeting once a month.
What are the two parts to every Sunday meeting?
1. Council together as a class for 10 to 20 minutes about how to participate in the work of salvation and exaltation.
2. Have 25 to 35 minutes of gospel instruction using come follow me.
