Why is it important to be able to recognize body clues?
Then you know what zone you are in and which tools/strategies to use to get you back to green zone.
Why is it important to be able to recognize emotions in others?
So we know how to respond. For example, if they are sad we can offer comfort and compassion. If they are angry, we can give them space and leave them alone to calm down.
Why is it important to be able to identify how our behavior impacts others thoughts and feelings
When we understand how our behavior impacts others thoughts and feeling about us we are more likely to make positive choices. When we put ourselves in others shoes we are demonstrating empathy.
Why is it important to be able to identify consequences for our behavior choices?
So that we can make behavior choices that result in positive consequences (i.e., us feeling proud of ourselves, getting a good grade, others want to be our friend, etc.)
Why is it beneficial to being able to generate more than one solution to a problem?
If the first solution doesn't work you would have back up to try and help solve the problem.
