This is what you feel if you didn't get enough sleep last night.
Tired
A smile on my face gives away how I feel today.
Happy
You keep trying and trying, yet you cant seem to finish the task. It begins to bother you with every unsuccessful try. Your body may respond with slamming things, yanking things, working carelessly or aggressively.
Frustrated
My muscles begin to feel tight. I clench my fist and furrow my eyebrows to show everyone how I feel.
Angry/Mad
The ability to control yourself. This helps you make better choices when you experience strong emotions.
Self Regulation
We feel this way when there is nothing to do for a long period of time or when we start to do the same thing over and over and it’s no longer fun.
Bored
My attention is fully concentrating on one task. I am listening, following direction and ignoring all distractions. Hint, rhymes with hocus
Focus
My jokes, face expressions or actions make others laugh when I feel this way. I might stick my tongue out, cross my eyes, or I cant stop laughing.
Silly
Punching, kicking, pulling, pushing, and biting might make you feel relief. These are examples of _______ behaviors.
Aggressive/hitting
Inhale.....exhale.....repeat 10 times. Calm yourself down.
Deep breaths/breathing/belly breathing
You may begin to cry with this feeling. Your smile turns upside down and your head might face the floor.
Sad
I get myself to feel this way by taking deep breathes, counting to 10, stretching or taking a break.
Calm/Relaxed
I wasn't paying attention when the teacher gave directions now I don't know what I am suppose to be doing. I feel lost and its challenging to understand.
Confused
The volume on my voice goes up. I can get in your face, so that your hear me loud and clear. Guess what?, you're actually making it worse.
Yelling
The action of saying numbers in sequence till you get to 10. It can give you time to think about your choice. Make it a good one!!
Count to 10
You might experience vomiting and your forehead is hot to the touch. Time to go to the doctor
Sick
Give me a thumbs up and I can guess how you feel. It's not happy or sad, its just normal.
Okay/Good
You may begin to feel uncomfortable if you keep thinking that something bad will happen. Negative thoughts take over and you just cant stop thinking about it. Breathing may speed up, you might tap your feet repeatedly, or your heart might beat faster if this is what you feel
Anxious/worried/Nervous
You begin to act wild (running back and forth, jumping, screaming, not following directions, using materials inappropriately). Definitely not acceptable.
Out of control
loosen up your muscles by holding them in place for 30 seconds. You'll feel the tightness that comes with those strong emotions disappear from your body. Now your ready to make a choice.
Stretch
The things that use to make you happy no longer help you feel happy. You find it difficult to smile and feel sad day after day.
Depressed
Being satisfied/happy with how everything is or with what you have. There are no worries or issues when you feel this way.
Content
There are just soooo many things to get done. You begin to think that its just way too much and emotion is hard to manage. It may become difficult to think clearly and come up with a plan.
Overwhelmed
Something great just happened and it makes you feel extremely happy/excited. You might pick up your arms in celebration, yell yahoo!!!, jump up and down, or start bragging.
