What is the meaning behind the rays?
The Ten Rays of SYZterhood, like the ten founders, form the basis for our Sorority. They are the characteristics all SYZters work to best exemplify. The Ten Rays of SYZterhood link the natural progression of the organization to the spirit with which the Sorority was first envisioned in the Fall of 1993.
What is stepping?
Stepping and strolling are percussive dance traditions originating from historically Black Greek letter organizations, involving synchronized and rhythmic choreography, stomping, clapping, chanting, and singing. Strolling is often a more synchronized, line-based dance representing unity and a bond within an organization, while stepping is a more precise performance art that uses the body as a drum and is characterized by a "signature step, call, and move

The Psi is the middle letter of Sigma Psi Zeta. The Psi letter itself branches and reaches to the letters that surround it. It binds these letters together at the center. Psi is the core of the SYZterhood.
