At the founding of the town, Choralwood's residents needed to remember something. A prophecy. To ensure it was passed down, a song was made of it, and made central to their culture. Now, song permeates every aspect of life in Choralwood.

It took 1000 years for him to break from stasis, as the reservoir of ancient power had run out.

However, i can! He was left at the town gate after his parents were mortally harmed whilst travelling. He was taken in by the leaders after his mother's dying wish was that he be taken care of.
How did Nieko become friendly with the residents of Choralwood?
He was more or less dragged in. Nieko went for groceries, one of the children saw a bigass dog and from that point Nieko's fate was sealed.
What happens when Nieko gets anxious, or feels the urge to defend himself?
Nieko will unconsciously armor himself in Control crystals, typically forming into armor. The armor shows a scaled appearance, a hint towards the origin of the Aspect.
He also unconsciously will encase himself when he sleeps.
What form does Nieko take in combat while in close range, or when required to utilize speed or strength based attacks?
When he must defend himself, this is his first option. He's a bit slow to dodge.

Lizardfolk! They are coldblooded people, so they needed a warm environment.
What is the main product of Choralwood? It is used in their homes, their tools, and their instruments!
Choralite! it's a specially prepared metal. They take ore from nearby, smelt it down. Next, they use a teensy bit of magic, and they put a teensy bit of the song in their souls into it. The result is a very strong metal that holds very well as building material, but resonates beautifully when used as insturment parts, especially wind chimes, Nieko's favorite.
What did Nieko want to do as a career before his life was turned upside down?
He wanted to study medicinal properties of plants! he wanted to become an apothecary/botanist, to help heal the people he cares about. He still studies today, despite where he lives.
What form does Nieko take when in combat and/or when using all of his power to the point of exhaustion?
the "Locked in" form. This is meant to be the opposite to the other form he can take. Nieko is using almost all of his magic except for the Aspect. The previous form is All the aspect, but this one's all Nieko.
Nieko uses Zephyromancy to float and fly, and cryo, pyro, and anything else he's managed to learn to attack.
Nieko's icy ears, tail, eyes, and the blue markings on his body all either glow or emit an aurora, and the only Control magic he uses is in the form of crystals that float around him, autonomously blocking projectiles and impacts from striking Nieko.
He uses this form when he is determined, or otherwise emotionally galvanized. He is firing on all cylinders, with no regard to trying to keep reserve stamina.

Nieko and his brother had an argument in front of the main heart of the AoC, and they were not careful with their thoughts. Due to their actions, everone's lives were forever changed.

The residents of Choralwood are the descendants of the original residents of Goldspring. The Library Curator is actually related to Nieko via adoption, he is his brother's descendant.

Pyromancy! it's entire thing is to make things move faster, and Nieko's entire thing is to make things stop. He still studies it due to its sheer utility, but it's hard work.

Each tier of crits increases the critical multiplier by one LESS than the listed critical damage. you start with 1x damage on non crit, then add (critical damage -1) for yellow crit, again for orange, and again for red.

Why is Goldspring on a mountain? it was originally a town on the plains.
During Nieko's time sealed in the AoC, the command he issued to it while panicking ended up being understood as "make everything stop". This ended up stopping the land around Goldspring from dipping to create a valley, leading to the current geological formation. It is irreversable.
What purpose did the Prophecy serve?
The prophecy that the entire culture of Choralwood was constructed to pass on was to tell Nieko the truth of what happened after he was sealed.
It was meant to tell him that he was mourned by his family, that there is no blood on his hands. He made a mistake. But he doesn't need to stretch a moment of pain to eternity. Move forward with your family in your heart, both Goldspring and Choralwood together.
Is Nieko warm to cuddle with? or is he cold?
He can be both! he has fur, and he controls his own temperature. Great companion for summer AND winter!
What happens when the Aspect of Control comes into contact with other spells Nieko Casts?
The spell's powers are multiplied manyfold. a magelight could turn into a massive spotlight, a flame spell could turn into a superheated gout of flame, an ice spell could create ice many times harder than normal.
Note, the question asks about what Nieko casts. if someone else were to try, it would not amplify their magic, unless Nieko allowed it to.
