What is a fellowship?

Fellowships can oftentimes be another word for scholarships, grants, awards.

For our office, "fellowships" refer to merit-based, external funding related to or for experiential learning, including study abroad, internships, professional development opportunities, and graduate study.

Fellowships are experiences that are tied to a bag of money and also include non-monetary benefits such as being part of a cohort a larger network, and more.
