What are the visit types?
Before and after entering/exiting a patient room and before and after donning or doffing gloves.
When must hand hygiene be performed?
Up to 12% decrease in strength.
What is the effect of one week of immobility?
FiO2= 20%
What is room air?
Used to document distance walked, patient activity, activity tolerance, time out of bed. Populates to the patient flow sheet
What is the Rehab Mobility (in the Rehab Navigator)
Shelter in place, close doors and await further instructions.
How do we respond initially to a code red?
Can indicate infection, inflammation or immune system disorder.
What is high WCB count?
Helps to keep alveoli open and improves ventilation
What is PEEP (positive end expiratory pressure)
Must be completed every day before we leave the facility. Best practice is to start (and ideally complete) as soon as possible following patient care.
What are the patient care notes-evaluation/POC and progress notes?
At the sink outside room 1206 in the PICU and at the sink near the equipment storage room (back hallway) on the pedi ward.
Where are the eyewash stations located?
To get to the other side.
Why did the chicken cross the road?
ventilator settings with PEEP>15 and/or FiO2>60%, patient sedated, patient irritable or combative
What are some contraindications for getting a patient on a ventilator out of bed?
Review every line, edit and change accordingly. At risk for error if we speed through this.
