An Avid Socratic Seminar is a structured classroom discussion where students engage with the text by asking questions to their peers and listening to others perspectives.

There are Cornell, Outline, Graphic Organizer, 2 or 3 column notes, mapping, mind method, and flow method.

Benefits will be that you have better note taking skills and better focus as well as you will learn to have a better understanding of the main concept of the class.

The expectations are for the scholars to be A-G compliant, achieve 100 community service hours, be involved in clubs or sports, grades c and above, have short and long term goals, as well as WICOR skills (writing, inquiry, collaborative, organization, and reading skills).
