What are activities of daily living (ADL's)?
This principal of the Canadian Health Act says that is is necessary for all medically necessary health services must be insured. It is the C in CUPPA.
What is Comprehensiveness?
This professional works with the client to around their nutritional issues.
Who is the Dietition?
A person in long term care is likely referred to as this.
What is a resident?
You must be trained for these on one client but it does not mean that it is safe to do the same task on another client and an HCA can refuse this if they don't feel it is safe to preform.
What is a delegated task?
Provides client and family nursing care day to day, is NOT allowed to delegate in BC but can train UCP's.
Who is the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Canadian Health Act standard that stated Canadian residents must have reasonable access to medically necessary services.Access must be based on medical need and not the ability to pay. It is the A in CUPPA.

Who is the Social Worker?
The Health Care environment option that focuses on palliative care, if a client does not want to die in their home.
