Enzyme activity slows down because particles have less kinetic (moving) energy and there are fewer successful collisions.

Explain why enzyme activity can decrease when the temperature becomes too high.
The enzyme can denature. Its active site changes shape, so the substrate cannot bind as effectively and enzyme activity decreases.

The results are less reliable because there are no repeated trials to check if the results are consistent or identify unusual results.
