This is a general information session to get specific information to our members, you may see one happening in the cafeteria.

This chart at the back of the contract shows you how much you should be paid.
The Wage Grid
We'll wear these on certain days to show management we support our contract, don't worry they wont stick for ever.
Stickers
This is a legally binding agreement between two parties.
Agreement
This committee meets monthly to discuss issues and work towards solutions.
Labor Management
You have all been selected for this group because of your interest in the contract or for standing up for your coworkers.
Bargaining Committee
You get one of these for every 4 hours you work.

Walk on the boss
A suggestion put forward to be added to the contract for consideration or discussion. Can be economic or non-economic.
Proposal
Advocate
This was sent out a few months ago to collect data from our members and ask what their priorities are.
Survey
We get paid time and a half if we work on one of these, or we might have it off.
Holidays
Grab your clipboard, for this action we'll gather as many signatures as we can.
Petition
This is a proposal made in response to a proposal that the other party has regarded as unacceptable.
Counter Proposal
Once we come to an agreement on the contract your coworkers will have lots of these, you'll answer them and explain the new contract.
Questions
You will do a lot of this with your coworkers, if your throat is sore, try tea and honey.
Talk
I've been asked to cover my lead while they are on vacation, I should get paid this differential.
Relief in a Higher Class
Lets make some noise! You'll need a sign and your walking shoes. Lets show management we mean business!
Picket
We may come to this type of agreement in bargaining, but it wont be part of the contract until our members ratify.
Tentative
This is the formal process we use when we believe the employer has violated our contract.
Grievance
This is a legal demand for a volume of data from the employer.
Information Request
This section is at the beginning of the contract, through a great deal of effort you and your coworkers fought to earn it and have forced your employer to do this.
