We make orange cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and it is something my mom did every year when I was younger and it has carried over to now doing it with my kids. I deviated from it one time and still haven’t heard the end of it.

On December 23rd is an unofficial holiday called Tibbs or Tips Eve (Tipsy Eve). This is the unofficial, traditional start of Christmas, where before locking down for the actual holidays, friends, family, and acquaintances can gather and pop in and out of homes for kitchen parties, snacks, and rum slush (which is a MUST and preferably made in a salt meat bucket). Tibbs parties typically start at noon and only end when everyone has left and no one else shows up.
