Europeans wanted furs to make felt hats, coats, and other clothing items. They traded with Native Americans from tribes like the First Nations, the Huron, the Iroquois and more. Some of the items they traded included: iron items like kettles and needles, weapons like knives and guns, blankets, beads, and clothing.
