A degree.

It takes about 2-5 years to complete this degree. A completion of 60 or more credits is required.
Associate's degree.
A field of work that requires specialized education, training and/or experience.
A career.
The most important form to be filled out in order to be eligible for financial aid.
FAFSA.
A calculated numerical average of grades earned from all courses taken.
GPA (grade point average).
A 2-year post-secondary school that offers courses to complete an Associate’s degree, and courses that are transferrable to a 4-year university/college.
Community college.
College or university symbol.
A mascot.
(for financial aid purposes) Students who aren’t reliant on parents for financial support and sometimes live away from them.
Independent Student.
A program offered by the College Board, that allows students to take college-level courses in high school. If students pass a standardized exam, they can earn college credit.
Advanced Placement (AP)
The most advanced post-secondary degree. It takes about 3-7 years to complete after completing bachelor’s (and sometimes master’s) degree.
A doctoral degree.
A status resulting from unsatisfactory academic work. A warning that student must improve academic performance.
Academic Probation.
A form of financial paid that must be paid with interest.
