They have thick, muscular walls to transport blood under pressure

The heart (right and left atrium, right and left ventricle), arteries, veins, capillaries, aorta

They have slightly thinner walls than the arteries; valves inside to prevent blood slipping backwards
What is the purpose of the Aorta?
It brings blood form the heart to all of the organs and body systems
