To bring blood from the heart to the rest of the body

The voice box; allows you to speak
What is the purpose of the Veins?
To carry blood to the heart from the rest of the body
As the air in your trachea passes through, where is its route?
Trachea, to the Bronchus, then lead to the Bronchioles, into the tiny Alveoli
What are characteristics of the Arteries?
They have thick, muscular walls to transport blood under pressure
What is the Circulatory system comprised of?
The heart (right and left atrium, right and left ventricle), arteries, veins, capillaries, aorta
What are characteristics of the Veins?
They have slightly thinner walls than the arteries; valves inside to prevent blood slipping backwards
What is the purpose of the Aorta?
It brings blood form the heart to all of the organs and body systems
