YMCA staff members are expected to wear these two items during their PNC Play and learn center shift.
What is YMCA apparel that is visible and a name tag?
This is the main platform where staff should regularly check their schedules (along with the PNC Play & Learn Center Desk).
What is Paylocity?
This magenta item holds the keys to unlock rooms, closets, and cupboards and can be found in the top drawer of the organizer under the PNC Play and Learn Center desk.
What is a YMCA lanyard?
In the Kids' Adventure space, it is an expectation that if there are youth on the mats or play structure that a YMCA team member is located in this space.
Where is on the mats with the kids?
This type of hug is one of the only appropriate forms of physical affection from staff toward children at the Bloomington-Normal YMCA.
What is a side hug?
These- Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility- guide staff conduct at the YMCA.
What are the Four Core Values?
Staff must notify this person at least 2 weeks in advance for a permanent schedule change.
Who is Kathlein Lebo McConkey?
Unless instructed by a supervisor, coordinator, or the Director of Youth Development, staff should remain here during their shift.
What is their assigned areas?
This designated space in Child Watch is specifically for infants and should be carefully supervised as a high-focus area.
What is the Infant Gated Space?
If a child talks out, doesn't listen, or engages in rough play, these are considered this level of behavior, handled by staff.
What is Tier 1 – Minor Behaviors?
These are the hours of the PNC Play and Learn Center including the 'closed-fully' day.
When is Monday through Saturday mornings (8:30-1:00p), Monday through Friday evenings (4:30-7p) and closed on Sundays?

When redirecting a child's behavior, staff should follow this phrase to interact at eye level with young participants.
