Let either public safety know, any RA or the RA on duty know ASAP and don’t freak out

If a strong smoke odor is found coming from your room and you are caught what are the next steps?
An RA will ask all residents in said room to remain still, while they wait for public safety to arrive. Once that happens all residents must give name, DOB, and addresses.
Now for room checks, if an RA knows there is usually smoke coming from your room they have the right to search especially if other residents tell an RA that it was you.
A group of students is talking loudly in the hallway late at night. What should you do?
Very politely remind them of quiet hours and if they don’t follow the rules then inform the floor RA

What type of Identification works for guests to be allowed into conolly OR fulton?
A government state ID OR Passport
if alcohol is found in a room of underage students even if someone is 21 what happens?
You will be asked to present LIU ID/ any form of identification, birthday and name. And you will have to present all the alcohol in the room and be forced to pour it out to the nearest bathroom while accompanied by an Ra
When are quiet hours (you can half points if you’re close)
Sunday - Thursday: 11PM - 7AM Friday - Saturday: 1AM - 7AM FINALS WEEK 24HRS!!!!
You have family coming from out of town and they’re looking forward to stay in your dorm for a night so they can celebrate your birthday. But you didn’t fill out the guest list and it’s Friday past 5PM and the student success center is closed. Who do you Call?
The RA on Duty. The RA on duty will contact pro staff to see if an unapproved guest can approved last minute.
You have an important exam early tomorrow morning, but your neighbors are having a loud party during quiet hours. When you ask them to lower the noise multiple times and they refuse and tell you to leave. What should you do?
Stay calm, avoid arguing, and contact your RA or campus security to report the disturbance.
