The Battle of Tallushatchee took place during the Creek War, which was part of the larger War of 1812. Between the Red Sticks of the Creek Nation and the American forces led by Andrew Jackson. After the Fort Mims Massacre, the US got revenge by killing around one hundred natives and burning down 46 women and children in their homes.
