Surgical removal of portion of a limb. The aim is to remove sufficient diseased, infected and gangrenous tissue to allow stump healing, while at the same time retaining OFFICIAL adequate limb length for a prosthesis. The two major amputations are above knee and below-knee.

What are the symptoms of cataracts?
A painful condition that affects the small, fluid-filled sacs — called bursae— that cushion the bones, tendons and muscles near the joints. Bursitis occurs when bursae become inflamed. The most common locations for bursitis are in the shoulder, elbow and hip.
What is Bursitis?
Cellulitis is a skin infection that develops as a result of bacterial entry via breaches in the skin barrier.

It involves the worn femoral and tibial surfaces being removed and replaced with metal and polyethylene components that glide at joint surface
What is involved in a Knee Replacement?
Allergies: to foods, medications insect bites or stings, pollen, pets
• Infections: Some viral or bacterial infections can lead to hives. Examples include the common cold, strep throat, hepatitis, or urinary tract infections.
• Physical factors: Exposure to cold temperatures excessive sweating, or sun exposure
• Autoimmune disorders: Conditions like lupus, thyroid disorders
• Stress or anxiety
What are the causes of Hives?
Pointed downward and inward in varying degrees of severity. May occur as an isolated deformity or in association with other disorders or syndromes, such as chromosomal abnormalities or spina bifida.
What is a Clubfoot?
Is usually associated with high pressure in the eye, causing pressure on the optic nerve

Neurovascular observations Pain management Arm elevated in sling. Immobilise until Day 2 as per Dr orders Monitor for bleeding, infection Mobilise as per Dr orders Physiotherapy
