3. After completing an assessment, the director of victim services has reason to believe the tenant is a victim of abuse
How can a tenant ensure they get the full amount back?
Treat the premises with care to avoid any unnecessary damage to floors, walls, fixtures etc.
How long does a landlord have to hold onto the tenants personal belongings?
At least 60 days until they are able to throw away or use towards remaining rent owed.
As a tenant are you responsible for the cost of repair or a new appliance?
No, it is the landlords responsibility to handle those situations.
When can a tenant be terminated from the property?
If there is constant bad behaviour, damage or lack of cleanliness to the unit or rental arrears of 15 days or more.
Are service animals still allowed even if the lease states "no animals"?
Yes, you can't deny service animals
How many days does the landlord have to return the deposit?
The deposit must be returned within 10 days with either the full amount or deducted amount with proof of reason
Are landlords required to know the names of every person living in the premises?
As a landlord you must approve every occupant living on your property.

The landlord needs to make as many sets needed as there are people living there.

What happens if a landlord violates the rights of the security deposit?
Any landlord who violates section 12 is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction and upon conviction is liable to a fine of no more then $5000.

No, landlords are not allowed to change the rules unless its four months prior to the anniversary date.

No the landlord should not restrict the tenant in any way to sell, lease or otherwise part with their possession of the manufactured home.
