Do you know what interventions are on the resident's care plan for pain/discomfort management? do you implement any of the interventions?
You can find interventions on the front page of the care plan under the "pain/comfort section. Even if you can't remember every residents individual pain interventions, you know where to look and find out. And any non-medication intervention is welcome and in your scope of practice! Offer a rice bag, a cold pack, a warm blanket, a message, reposition, etc.

Catheter left in bladder without correct diagnosis, excess weight loss, high risk pressure ulcers, amount of residents on antipsychotic medications, depression with our residents, falls with major injury, increased ADL help, low risk of bowel and bladder, mod/severe pain, physical restraints, uti's
our numbers are compared to state and national average.
if the resident refuses to go to activity how do you encourage them to attend?
let them know how much fun the activity is going to be and tell them that they don't have to stay for the whole activity.
what are a few things that you should do after answering a residents bell?
make sure they have their remote, ice water, call bell and are left in a safe position.
when a resident is behaving in an inappropriate way what are they trying to do?
when should you take the trash out of each room?

make sure the laundry that you are transporting is covered, and close the closet door.
What are some of the levels and dementia?
Early loss- running on a routine, repeating stories
Moderate loss- just get it done, wanting a purpose and a mission. (gets tasks done, but quality is poor)
Middle loss- See it, touch it, take it, taste it. Hunting and gathering. ( doesn't recognize others ownership, language is poor and comprehension is very limited.)
Severe Loss- Gross automatic action- constant go or down and out (paces, walks, rocks, swings, hums, claps, pats, rubs... not interested in food- loss in weight
