Percents in short for percentages, means out of a hundred. A percentage is a number or ratio expressed as a fraction of 100. When writing a percentage, The sign “%” should always be used.

How to calculate Percent? (Fraction to Percent & Decimal to Percent)



Fraction to Percent: Divide numerator by denominator then times by 100. ( change fraction to a decimal, then multiply by hundred)

Decimal to Percent: Times by 100

  • Ex. 0.46 x 100 = 46%
