Can you name 3 specific requirements for DT in the BASPEE program?

Placements are a minimum of 16 weeks in length, split into two distinct 8-week settings. 

The first 8-week placement is in a secondary (middle or high school) special education setting with a licensed, secondary special educator who teaches core classes (English, math, science, social studies). 

The secondary special education placement is only allowed in mild to moderate settings (resource room) and not in severe settings (self-contained). 

The second 8-week placement is in a standard 1-6 grade multi-subject elementary classroom hosted by a licensed elementary educator. The elementary setting must include at least one IEP student (inclusion) or the opportunity to work with the school’s special education teacher in a pull-out setting (resource room) for at least one of the 8 weeks.
