What is Abuse
A life-threatening condition that arises when the body's response to an infection(ANY infection, even a bug bite or a scratch). The body injures its own tissues and organs by releasing chemicals in an attempt to get rid of the infection; the entire body becomes inflamed.
What is Sepsis
The process of identifying, labeling and removing equipment that is malfunctioning or broken from your units/floors/departments.
What is Tagging Out.
This is done on admission, every 3 months, after a fall, upon transfer from one unit to another, Upon any change in status/condition, each shift change.
Fall Risk Assessment
The color of resident's bracelet that indicates they WANT to be a full code.
What is GREEN
Defined as the use of oral, written or gestured language that willfully includes disparaging or derogatory terms to residents or their families, or within the hearing distance of resident or families.
