After you've created the PPA Purchase Request for Portfolio Management, submit a request for early purchase using the below email template and send to payoff@tesla.com. All request sent via email must include your direct Supervisor. If approved, Portfolio Management will document the approval in the case you created for the payoff request.
The customer must be pass the 5 year mark and outside of the eligibility timeline in order to qualify for a early purchase request
If the name of the person remaining on the contract is not the credit passer. What steps would you take to assist the customer?
We cannot leave a contract without a credit passer.
Possible Customer Options:
1) Name to remain on agreement will need to pass credit before we remove the requested name that is the current credit passer. In this case you will need to speak to the other customer name on the agreement, get their approval that they are open to having credit ran, and then credit will need to be ran. (See TEMPORARY CREDIT PROCESS below).
2) IF there is another party that could pass credit and is willing to be added to the agreement, perhaps they could be added. In this case you will need to speak with the new contact, get their approval that they are open to having the check ran and to be added to the agreement, and then credit will need to be ran. (See TEMPORARY CREDIT PROCESS below). If they pass we will complete an add signer first, then a remove signer.

How long is the Purchase Option Statement good for?
The Purchase Option Statement is valid for 2 months. The exact time period will be listed within the statement for reference.
What payment method can ECS add to the account.
Can ECS can add a checking or savings account.
ECS cannot add a debit or credit card, customer must be transferred to billing and or add their card information on the tesla website.
ECS is able to process payments with payment methods that are already on file.
Who prepares the FMV appraisal?
The appraisal is done by a third party independent appraiser. Ensure that you do not name any company as a “source” for recommendations or any Tesla affiliation with a particular company when customers need/want to financially appraise their solar system.
