A- One way slavery affected relations between African states was it allowed certain states to be armed with weapons allowing these to dominate.

C- States would trade slaves in return for guns and ammunition. Having fire power helped them dominate other states around them.

E- It is typically the states with guns who rule. They would trade slaves for guns allowing the states who had the highest population to have more power.

A- One example of culture spreading from the East to the West through the Silk Road was religion.

C- This is evident since there are Hindu and Buddhist places of warship along the Silk Road. There are many along the way even in farther western regions.

E- Religions that were are still are prominent in the East such as Hinduism and Buddhism were spread along the Silk Road. The Silk Road allowed an opening for the East to communicate and trade with the West. This allowed people to travel the Silk Road and spread their religion farther east.

A- One reason Gunpowder Empires rose during this era is because they were the only people who had guns at this time allowing them to destroy anyone in their way.

C- Gunpowder Empires much like the Mongol Empire could conquer anyone they wanted to since they had advance ways of fighting and advanced weapons. This early advancement is what let them conquer and gain so much power and land.

E- There were only few Empire that had guns these could dominate any other towns or villages. They could even make the villages pay them money to not takeover and terrorize the town.

A- One way commodities affected the economies around the world was new products led to new demand.

C- New products such as sugar cane led to a new, very high demand in places with money like Europe. These products were high in demand making them cash crops.

E- This boosted the economy because America would export tons of cash crops to Europe. This allowed the Americas to make tons of money while pleasing European demands.

A- The Renaissance impacted the ideas of Enlightenment by popularizing the need to think.

C- More people were thinking for themselves and coming to conclusions on their own. This was the time that popularized this.

E- One popular quote is "Cogito, ergo sum" meaning "I Think Therefore I am." This was said by Rene Descartes. He was basically saying what, what makes one a person is their ability to think. This importance of individual thought is what people were starting to discover during this period.
