Describe the Difference between Nature and Nurture. List at least two examples of each and why you believe that example falls under the Nature category or the Nurture Category. (Answer in 4 to 6 Sentences)

Nature are the traits that you come into this world with. This can be a lot of physical traits, like hight, eye color, hair color. These are traits that you were born with that were not learned. It can also be internal like diseases. Nurture is what you were raised and influenced on. This could be religious views, love for certain genres of music, etc. These are traits that are built up over years of influence through families and friends. There are also some characteristics that can be controversial like: Alcoholism, Depression, Weight, etc.

Is Stress Always bad? Give a reason why stress is good and a reason why it is bad. Explain your reasoning.

Stress can be good or bad. Eustress is positive stress. This occurs when stress is to your advantage. Eustress can be something like the stress you get before playing a football game. Your body Releases Cortisol and your body goes into fight or flight. This can in hanse your performance in your game. Distress is negative stress.  Bad stress can lead to exhaustion. This is bad because it can take weeks to recover once you have reached the exhaustion phase. In this phase you feel too tired to get up in the morning, you can have sleeping problems, and you have no motivation.

The temporal lobe, cerebellum, and parietal Lobe are parts of the brain. The temporal lobe is the part of the brain that allows auditory functions, takes a role in long-term memories, and processes semantics in speech and vision. The cerebellum is used for motor control, attention and language control, regulates fear responses and pleasure responses. The Parietal Lobe is divided into a left and right hemisphere and is known as the "mental Map". This lobe is known for integrating sensory information, allows for manipulation of objects, is involved in functions in language and mathematics, at it is specialized to carry images and understanding of maps.

In 6-8 Sentences, describe and give 2 examples of unconscious bias (aka implicit bias). Do you think it's fair to connect unconscious bias to terms such as prejudice discrimination, and racism?

Unconscious bias is when you give bias that you are unaware of. An example of this would be not liking a certain style that people dress in. This could be because you had a bad experience in the past with someone who dressed like that even if you were unaware of it. Another example would be looking at a person dressed kind of ragged. You may think that they are poor or homeless, but in reality they could be like Mark Zuckerburg. I do feel that it is appropriate because implicit bias's can start as early as the age of 6, and sometimes you can learn a behavior like racism, without even knowing you are being racist. You could look at someone and just think they are useless (unintentionally), when they are wealthy and changing the world. This is why unconscious bias can be connected with these terms.

Should Colleges limit fraternity involvement to limit hazing?

Fraternities are a great source of college involvement. Most campuses have up to 50% involved in greek life. These fraternities bring money to the school and give large amounts of money to charities. Joining fraternities freshman, gain social skills, gain new friends, and learn time management. This can also help freshman get out of their dorms and become familiar with their campuses and college towns, however they should limit fraternities. Limiting will cut out a lot of teen drinking and hazing. I feel if there were adult supervisors as well watching, this would make it harder to haze pledges.
