St. Patrick was kidnaped by pirates and taken to Ireland as a shepherd slave. 

When Saint Patrick was kidnapped as a teenager and taken to Ireland, he didn’t become angry with God or think that God had forgotten him. He continued to pray and place his hope and trust in God. St. Patrick escaped back to Britain to become a priest but came back to Ireland to preach to the Irish people about the Catholic faith.

Summarize the Journey to Emmaus.

Two of Jesus' disciples walked along the road to Emmaus. They were both feeling sad and hopeless after the death of Jesus three days earlier. As they walked along, a third traveler joined them and asked them why they were upset. The disciples told him all about Jesus and how he had been crucified. They felt defeated because Jesus was dead and all their hopes were gone. They invited the third traveler to dinner where he explained the Scriptures to the disciples and broke bread with them. Then, the third traveler disappeared. He was Jesus and he had revealed himself to the two disciples.
